Savoy cabbage is one of the most popular types of cabbage in our region. It’s definitely no stranger to the cold and can handle wintry temperatures with ease. So it’s no surprise that this cabbage is a favourite in hearty winter dishes, soups, and alongside potatoes.
Savoy cabbage pairs well with potatoes, carrots, and meats like minced pork or bacon. Add a bit of vinegar, mustard or herbs to enhance the flavour.
Want to fill and roll savoy cabbage leaves? Blanch the large leaves briefly in boiling water. This makes them more flexible and easier to fold around a filling.
Our savoy cabbages are grown in open fields, meaning they’re cultivated the traditional way, out in the fresh air. This allows the cabbages to grow naturally and absorb all the nutrients from the soil. The result? A firm texture and a pure, authentic flavour. Open-field cultivation also helps ensure the quality and freshness of our savoy cabbages.
