If you have too much fresh oregano, you can make a tasty oregano pesto using the nuts of your choice.
Flavour
Fresh oregano has a milder flavour than dried oregano, so feel free to use a bit more when cooking.
Combine
Oregano has a herby, slightly bitter flavour that pairs well with dishes featuring tomatoes, aubergine, courgette, chicken or lamb. Try it in Greek tzatziki, Italian pizza or Mexican salsa. It’s also great in marinades for meat or fish!
