About Family Hellinckx

Eddy started growing parsley in 1992 and has been expanding his business ever since. These days, he grows leeks and turnips in winter, and endives and green celery in summer.

The busiest time of year for the Hellinckx family is between the end of July and the end of August. First, there’s the harvest, followed by planting leeks, celery and endives again. For the family, the biggest challenges in the growing process are the climate and the strict rules on water use for irrigating the crops.

Eddy’s favourite recipe is turnip soup.
