Smart
tips

Cleaning

To make it easy to remove the string from runner beans, cut off the top tip of the bean. This way, the pod’s seam will pull the string away with it.

In salads

Runner beans are delicious in a fresh salad with tomato, pepper and cucumber.

How long should I cook runner beans?

Not too long. 6 to 10 minutes is enough to cook the beans al dente.

Growing Method

BelOrta runner beans are grown both outdoors and in greenhouses. In the open field they develop in fresh air, while in a greenhouse they’re protected under glass. This influences their growth and quality. Greenhouse cultivation provides a consistent temperature and shields the beans from the weather, whereas field cultivation gives them a natural growth cycle and flavour.
